Sometimes the brave move is staying. Not every change means leaving.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Leaving gets treated as the brave option by default, and sometimes it is exactly right. Staying with something difficult and repairing it in place asks for a nerve that nothing dramatic requires: the dull fix, the conversation you keep avoiding, the season you finish badly. Quitting can also be the easy exit wearing the language of growth.

If a place or a person is harming you, leaving is the answer and it needs no justification. Otherwise, ask whether you are escaping discomfort or ending something genuinely wrong, since those feel identical from inside. When it is the first, try the hard conversation before the exit.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where would staying take more courage from you than leaving?
