Busy isn’t growing. A treadmill is busy too.

Motion and progress feel identical from inside the day. You can fill every hour, end exhausted, and be exactly where you started, because effort only counts as growth when it points somewhere. Busyness is also a comfortable hiding place, since nobody questions a full schedule. The question is not how much you did but what is different because of it.

Look at last week and find the two activities that moved nothing. Cut one of them and leave the slot empty for now. Put the other hour toward the thing you keep postponing because it requires actual thinking.
