Rebuilding takes longer than breaking. That’s not failure. That’s physics.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Things come apart quickly and go together slowly, and that asymmetry has nothing to do with your character. A season can end in an afternoon and take a year to replace. Expecting recovery to match the speed of the damage sets you up to feel like you are failing at something that is simply slow. Patience here is accuracy, not weakness.

Estimate how long you think it should take and then double it, honestly. Measure in weeks rather than days so the progress is visible. When the pace frustrates you, count what has actually been rebuilt rather than what remains.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What of yours is taking longer to rebuild than to break?
