Old you had reasons. New you has options.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Your earlier version was not making bad choices for no cause. There were real constraints: no money, no information, nobody to ask, a situation that had to be survived rather than optimized. What has changed is not your character but the number of doors available. Reasons explain the past, and options are what the present runs on.

Look at a decision you keep defending and ask whether the constraint behind it still exists. If it does not, choose again with the current set of options. Let the old reasons stay true without letting them stay in charge.
