When there’s a fight in the hallway, a hundred phones come out and no hands. Be a hand.

A crowd with cameras out is a strange audience, because filming makes everybody feel involved while keeping everybody uninvolved. The phones turn a bad moment into an event, and the event makes the moment last longer. Meanwhile the thing most likely to end it is one person doing something other than watching.
Being a hand does not mean getting into the middle of it, and it should not. Go find an adult, fast. Say a name out loud, or help someone out of the corridor. Any of those beats holding up a screen.
What stops you from stepping in when something goes wrong?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
