People run tests without announcing them. Something minor gets mentioned, and then they watch whether it travels. The result decides what you are ever trusted with afterwards, and nobody tells you that you failed, they simply stop telling you things. It feels like people going distant when actually a result came back.
Treat the trivial ones as though they mattered, because as far as the test goes they do. If you are unsure whether something was private, assume it was. That assumption costs nothing and slowly makes you the person others come to.
Which small confidence have you been trusted with lately?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
