Follow-through isn’t part of leadership. It’s most of it.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Almost everything people admire about leadership turns out to be follow-through wearing a costume. Vision, judgement, charisma, none of them survive a pattern of things being said and then not happening. It sounds unglamorous because it is, and because it is boring, most people quietly skip it and substitute enthusiasm. That is why doing it is such an unfair advantage.
Write down what you promised this week and do those things before you take on anything new. If you cannot finish something, go back and say so rather than letting it expire silently.
Have you finished the thing you said you would handle?
