A leader’s job is clearing the road, not driving everyone’s car.

LEADERSHIP
There is a version of helping that is really just taking over, and it feels productive while it quietly tells everyone they are not trusted. The useful job sits upstream: getting the equipment, fixing the schedule, having the awkward conversation with the adult, removing whatever keeps stopping people. Do that and the work happens without you touching it. Take the wheel instead and you get a group that waits.
Ask two people this week what is slowing them down, then go remove one of those things. Do not offer to do their part. Just make their part less annoying to do and step back.
Could you clear one obstacle for someone this afternoon?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
