Notice when someone improves, even a little, and say it out loud. Growth fed with attention keeps growing.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Most improvement is invisible to the person making it, because they are inside it and the change is gradual. Saying it out loud turns a private effort into something real, and that is often what decides whether somebody keeps going. Attention works like water here. What gets noticed tends to continue, and what goes unnoticed usually stops.

Watch for one person getting slightly better at something this week and tell them, with the detail attached. Say what is different now compared with a month ago. Small and precise beats general and enthusiastic every time.
