Being coachable at the top is rare, which is exactly why it’s powerful.

Improvement usually slows at the point where people stop correcting you, and that point arrives early once you are good. Nobody wants to give feedback to someone who does not seem to want it, so it stops, and the gaps stay exactly where they were. Staying coachable is mostly about making it safe to be told things. That is rare enough to work like an advantage.
Ask someone specifically what you should do differently, then visibly change one thing they said. The change is what proves the request was genuine. Do that twice and honest feedback starts arriving without you asking.
When you are the best, who still corrects you?
