Your influence peaks when people stop asking what you think and start asking what you’d do.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Opinions are cheap to ask for and easy to ignore. When someone wants to know what you would actually do, they are borrowing your judgment rather than your commentary, and that only happens after they have watched you act. It is a quiet promotion nobody announces. The question changed because your track record did.

Notice which kind of question comes your way this week. If it is still only about what you think, the answer is usually more doing and less commenting. Decide one thing out loud, follow through where people can see it, and let that do the arguing.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Has anyone copied your actions rather than just agreeing with you?
