Quitting the wrong thing isn’t failing. It’s freeing your hands for the right one.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Stopping and failing get treated as the same event, and they are not. Staying inside something clearly not yours, out of a dislike for quitting, is its own kind of loss, paid in time you cannot get back. Letting go is a decision with a cost and a result, made with information you did not have at the start.
If you are considering leaving, work out whether you are running from the hard part or the wrong fit, because those need opposite responses. Be honest about which one it is, then decide, and stop calling the decision a failure while you make it.
Are your hands too full for the right thing?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
