Being a beginner means you get to see everything for the first time. Experts would pay to get that back.

REFLECTION
Beginner is not a lower rank, it is a short window. Everything is still surprising, the rules have not gone invisible yet, and you notice odd details that people ten years in stopped seeing a decade ago. Those people do not miss being bad at it. They miss seeing it clearly.
If you are new at something right now, write down three things that strike you as strange before they stop being strange. In six months those notes will be the most interesting record of your first month, and probably the most useful thing you can hand the next person who starts.
What are you seeing for the first time right now?
