You’re a person, not a production line. Your worth doesn’t reset to zero on a slow day.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Measuring yourself by output makes your worth swing with things you do not control, like sleep, illness, and the weather in your head. Machines are supposed to run at a constant rate. People run in waves, and a flat day is part of the pattern rather than evidence against you. The tally you are keeping is also wrong, because it counts finished tasks and ignores everything else you did.
Catch the sentence where you tell yourself you did nothing today. Say what actually happened instead: you went, you sat through it, you answered someone, you rested because you needed to. Accuracy is kinder than the summary.
What counts as a good day for you besides output?
