A number like that tracks how many accounts saw something, which is a fact about distribution and nothing more. It has no idea whether anyone stayed, whether you are good to your friends, or whether you kept a promise on Tuesday. It works as a score because it is visible and updates constantly, not because it measures anything you would actually care about losing.

Pick a different measure this week and check that one instead. Whether someone replied properly, whether you finished what you started, whether you liked what you made.
