Attention comes from whoever happens to be giving it, and they can stop on a Tuesday for no reason at all. Respect is built differently, out of things people have watched you do: showing up, telling the truth when it cost you, being the same person in two very different rooms. One can be withdrawn overnight. The other has to be spent by you before it goes anywhere.

Ask which one you are chasing before you post something this week. Then do one thing nobody will see: the favor, the apology, the work finished properly.
