Practice is where you get to be bad in private so you can be good in public.

The embarrassing part has to happen somewhere. Practice is the room built for it, where wrong notes and missed shots and clumsy sentences cost nothing except time. Skipping that room does not delete the awkward stage of learning something. It only moves it to the day people are watching.
Protect a place this week where being bad is allowed. An empty court, a notebook nobody reads, a drive where you sing badly with the windows up. Do the thing you are worst at while you are in there, since that is the entire point of having it.
What are you unwilling to be bad at in private?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
