Creative block is usually just fear of the blank page wearing a disguise.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

The stuck feeling rarely comes from having no ideas. It comes from the distance between what you can picture and what your hands can currently make, and that distance is uncomfortable enough that not starting begins to look like the sensible option. Calling it a block makes it sound like a condition rather than an avoidance.

Beat the blank page by ruining it quickly this week. Write a deliberately terrible first line, draw the bad version, record the take you intend to delete. Fixing something poor is easy, and starting was the only genuinely hard part.
