The kid who gets laughed at for trying is still ahead of everyone doing the laughing.

REFLECTION
Laughter aimed at effort is cheap, because effort is exposed and watching costs nothing. Whoever is getting laughed at is doing a thing badly in public, which happens to be how everything gets learned. Within a year the gap between them and the audience is measurable, and it only widens in one direction.
If that is you right now, it is genuinely unpleasant and it is also temporary. Keep going where you can, and find one person to do it alongside, because company makes it much easier. If you are in the crowd instead, consider being the one who says nothing.
What did you try while people watched and laughed?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
