The best view on the hike is often at the rest stop you almost skipped.

Stopping feels like losing ground when you are measuring the day in distance. So you push past the bench, the bend, the ten minutes of sitting down, and you arrive at the end having seen very little of what you walked through. The pauses are where the looking happens, because moving takes all your attention. What you skipped was not the boring part.
Build one stop into something this week that you would normally push straight through. Eat lunch away from the desk, sit down somewhere on the way home, stay after practice for ten minutes. Then look around properly, which is the whole point of stopping.
