Rest is part of the workout. Muscles are built on the couch after the gym.

CREATIVITY
Effort and adaptation happen at different times. The session is the signal and the repair happens afterwards, while you are asleep or sitting around doing nothing, which means the hours that look like laziness are doing a job nothing else can do. Skipping them does not produce more progress, it produces the same effort with less to show for it.
Schedule the rest the way you schedule the session, and treat it as attendance rather than a reward. Sleep counts. So does the day you do nothing at all, even when doing nothing feels like falling behind.
Where do you skip recovery and call it dedication?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
