Nobody appreciates a working heater until February.

CREATIVITY
Things that work are invisible, and that is the problem with judging by attention. A heater that runs all winter gets noticed on the morning it stops, and everything else that quietly holds your life together is in the same position: the friend who is always around, the parent who does the boring logistics, your own knees. Reliability produces no events. So it collects no thanks until it fails.
Pick one thing that has worked for you all year and say so out loud to whoever is responsible. If it is not a person, maintain it before it complains. Gratitude is much cheaper in advance than repair is afterwards.
What do you only notice about home when it breaks?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
