Anger can visit. Just don’t hand it a key and a dresser drawer.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Anger is not the problem by itself. It arrives fast, it tells you something crossed a line, and then it wants to stay, because staying feels like strength. The trouble starts when it stops being a reaction and becomes the room you live in, narrating everything, turning small stuff into evidence.
Let yourself be furious for the length of a walk, a song, a shower. Then ask what you actually want to happen next, which is a different question from who deserves what. If nothing useful comes back, the feeling has stopped working for you, and setting it down is allowed.
Which anger of yours has stayed long past its welcome?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
