Borrowed opinions are like borrowed hoodies. They never quite fit, and someone always wants them back.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Taking a view straight from somebody else gives you the conclusion without the reasoning, and the reasoning is the part that holds up when questions start. That is why a secondhand take collapses the moment anyone asks why. It also still belongs to whoever lent it, so when they change their mind you are left wearing something that suits nobody.
Before you repeat a position this week, check whether you could defend it for two minutes without naming who said it first. If not, hold it loosely and say you are still working it out. That answer earns more respect than people expect.
Which view of yours came straight from somebody you admire?
