A failed attempt is just information that came with bad packaging.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The sting arrives first and loudest, and it makes the useful part hard to see. Underneath the embarrassment there is usually something specific and plain, that you were not ready, that you skipped a step, that the fit was wrong. None of that says anything about your worth. It is a result, delivered rudely.
Give it a day before you try to learn from it, since nothing useful comes out while it still hurts that much. Then ask one question. What would you do differently with the same chance, and is a version of that chance coming again.
What did your last failed attempt actually tell you?
