You saw the trophy. You didn’t see the 6 a.m. practices in an empty gym that bought it.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Visible success is the last five percent of something and the other ninety five happened where nobody was watching. Early mornings, the same drill repeated badly, whole months where nothing improved. Because you only ever see the end, it is easy to decide the person is just built differently. Mostly they paid in a currency that does not show up in photographs.
When you admire a result, go find out what the schedule behind it actually looked like. Then ask whether you want the result enough to want the mornings, since that is the real question.
Whose trophy did you see without the empty gym behind it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
