Notice how you naturally show people you care. Knowing that helps you notice when others do it differently.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Everyone has a default way of showing care, and almost everyone assumes theirs is the obvious one. You might turn up early to help carry things while somebody else says it in words and a third person sends a link they thought you would like. When you only recognize your own dialect, other people’s care reads as absence. A good share of feeling unloved is a translation problem.
Name your own move first, the thing you do without thinking when you like somebody. Then pick one person and work out theirs. You may find they have been saying it steadily in a way you were not counting.
