Your list of favorite things says a lot. Update it; you might be surprised what fell off.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Favorites get set once and then quietly expire. You keep naming the band, the food, the film you settled on at fourteen, long after your taste has moved, because nobody asks twice and there is no reason to check. Those old answers end up describing a person you used to be while sounding current. Rewriting them is a small way of locating where you actually are.
Build the list again from scratch this week without looking at the old one. Song, meal, place, book, person you admire. What fell off tells you as much as what stayed.
Which favorite of yours quietly fell off the list?
