Show up when you’re ready, not when you’re curious what people think of the draft.

There is a difference between wanting feedback and wanting reassurance. Feedback has a question attached: does this part work, is this clear. Reassurance is just hoping somebody says it is good, and it usually arrives too early, when the thing is still soft enough to be knocked out of shape by a shrug.
Before you show anyone, ask what you actually want from them. If you cannot name a specific question, keep working a little longer. When you do share it, say what kind of response you need, because people will otherwise guess and often guess wrong.
Are you showing people drafts just to hear something reassuring?
