Tell the people who stayed that you noticed. Staying is harder than it looks.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Leaving is loud and staying is quiet, so the people who keep turning up rarely get counted. The friend who sat with you through a boring stretch, the sibling who still asks about your day, the coach who kept putting you in. That patience could have been spent somewhere easier, and they spent it on you.

Pick one person this week who has simply been around, and say so out loud. It does not need to be a speech. Something like “you have been here a lot this year and I noticed” will land further than you expect.
