If someone texts you at their 2 a.m. just because it’s your afternoon, that’s not a coincidence. That’s a priority.

Attention costs something, and the cost is where the real signal sits. Anybody can reply when it is convenient. When somebody rearranges their sleep, their break or their whole day to line up with yours, they have quietly ranked you above their own comfort, and they will usually never mention it. Small inconveniences accepted on purpose are how people actually say you matter.

Look at who bends their schedule for you and let it land properly. Tell one of them you noticed, which almost nobody does. And when you get the chance to be inconvenient for someone, take it instead of waiting for the easy moment.
