Listen to how you talk about people. It’s a pretty accurate recording of you.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The way you describe other people says more about your standards and your mood than it does about them. Someone generous about strangers is usually generous in general, and someone who narrates everyone as an idiot is describing the inside of their own head. People also notice. They assume you talk about them the same way once they leave.
Listen back on yourself for a day, especially in the group chat and the car ride home. Count how many of your descriptions are a put-down with a laugh attached. Swapping even a few changes how you sound to the people still in the room.
How do you sound when you talk about people behind them?
