“I tried” should come with evidence. Drafts, reps, attempts. Otherwise it’s just a nice sentence.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Trying leaves a trail. There are pages, versions, sets, failed attempts, messages you sent, and if none of those exist then what happened was probably thinking about it and feeling bad. That distinction matters mostly for you, because effort you cannot point to is very easy to overestimate and then to be confused by the result.

For whatever you are working on, keep a plain record: dates and what you actually did. No ratings, no reflections, just the count. At the end of the week the page will tell you whether you tried, and you can stop arguing with yourself about it.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What evidence could you show for the effort you claim?
