Rolling your eyes is a whole sentence. Make sure it’s one you’d say out loud.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Faces talk, and they talk faster than words. An eye roll delivers contempt in under a second, with none of the friction that saying it would involve, which is exactly why it slips out. The other person receives the full message anyway. They just receive it in a form you can deny, which somehow makes it worse.
Notice where your face goes when someone says something you think is stupid. If you would not say the sentence version out loud, that is a reason to keep it off your face too. And if you would say it, then say it properly, where it can be answered.
What would your last eye roll have said in words?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
