Grief makes a normal Wednesday feel like it weighs a ton. Even the heaviest days still end at midnight.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Loss changes the weight of ordinary time. Nothing about a plain midweek day is different except that you are carrying something through it, and that alone makes the usual tasks cost several times what they used to. There is no correct pace for this and no amount of effort that shortens it. The heaviness is not a failure of coping.
If today is one of the heavy ones, let the aim be reaching the end of it rather than doing it well. Take whatever help is offered, even in small amounts. Days do finish, and you are allowed to simply arrive at the end of this one.
