There is maturity in stopping before your body has to stop you.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Stopping voluntarily requires an honest read of your own state and the willingness to disappoint the part of you that wants to keep going. That is a mature act, not a soft one. The alternative is waiting until the body removes the choice, which it will eventually do, and it does not consult your calendar when it does.
Ask what you would need to admit in order to stop before you have to. Usually it is something like being tired sooner than you expected. Say it plainly to yourself and act on it while stopping is still your decision.
Has your body ever forced a break you would not take?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
