If everything falls apart the day you’re sick, you built a dependency, not a team.

LEADERSHIP
A group that cannot function without one specific person is not yet a group, it is a single point of failure with extra people around it. Being indispensable feels like security and is actually fragility, for them and for you. The test is what happens on a day you are simply not there.
Write down the things only you know how to do, then teach one of them to somebody this month. Let them do it their way even if it is slower at first. A team that survives your absence is the only kind you can ever leave or rest inside.
What would stop working if you took a week off?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
