How you treat people who have nothing to offer you is the most accurate reading available of who you are, because there is no incentive distorting it. Getting bigger does not change character, it removes the constraints that were keeping it hidden. What comes out was already there.

Watch yourself with servers, interns, customer service and anyone waiting in a line near you. If impatience has crept in, treat it as a warning rather than a style. Slowing down for one such person a day is a small and very effective correction.
