Ask the question that makes you sound new. You are new. Pretending otherwise just delays the part where you get good.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Hiding inexperience costs you the only thing that fixes it. Every question you swallow to protect your image leaves a hole that will still be there in six months, except by then admitting it feels worse. Nobody is fooled for long anyway; people can tell the difference between quiet competence and quiet guessing.
Decide that for the next month you will be openly new. Ask the basic question in the first week rather than the fourth. Keep a short list of things you nodded at without understanding, and clear one item a day.
What would you ask if sounding new was fine?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
