Once something has to earn, the relationship changes, and not always in a way you notice at the time. Choices start bending toward what sells, sessions start carrying pressure, and the thing you used to escape into becomes another place with expectations in it. That is not a reason to refuse money. It is a reason to keep something out of the arrangement.

Name one activity that will never be sold, and defend that line even when it looks like a missed opportunity. It does a job income cannot do.
