Nobody gets famous for never missing a shift. They just get handed the keys.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Reliability is invisible while it accumulates and decisive when something needs deciding. There is no applause for being there, no story in it, nothing to post. What there is instead is access: the shifts, the responsibility, the trust extended to whoever has never made anyone worry. That currency is unglamorous and it buys real things.
If you want more responsibility somewhere, show up to the ordinary parts without being remarkable about it. Do that for a few months. The offer usually arrives without any conversation preceding it.
What responsibility came to you simply from showing up repeatedly?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
