Noticing the trash is full is a skill. Taking it out without giving a speech about it is a bigger one.

Noticing what needs doing is genuinely a skill, and plenty of people never develop it. Doing the thing without narrating it is a rarer one, because the announcement quietly converts a favor into a debt somebody now owes you. Help given for credit changes shape in the receiving.
This week, do two or three small useful things and say nothing about any of them. Pay attention to whether that is uncomfortable, and to what the discomfort is asking for. If the work genuinely needs sharing out, ask for that directly rather than through a speech about the trash.
Which good deed do you need credit for afterwards?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
