Mistakes don’t send you back to zero with God. They send you back to Him.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Failure gets imagined as a reset, as though a mistake erases whatever progress you had and puts you back at the beginning with God. The picture offered here is different: the mistake moves you toward rather than away, which inverts the instinct to hide until you are presentable again. Distance is created by the hiding, not by the failure.

Go back immediately rather than waiting until you feel acceptable. Say what happened plainly, without the long self accusation. Then pick up where you actually are, which is further along than shame will tell you.
