Secrets get heavier the longer you carry them. Confession is setting the backpack down.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A secret gets heavier because you are carrying two things at once, the thing itself and the work of hiding it. The hiding is the part that grows. It shapes what you can talk about, who you can relax around, and how tired you are at the end of a normal day. Saying it out loud does not erase what happened. It puts the weight down.
Choose one person who has earned the truth, and tell them the plain version without the long defence. If speaking it feels impossible right now, write it down first so the words exist somewhere outside your head.
What are you carrying that one honest conversation would lighten?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
