The F on the test doesn’t grade your soul. God still signs off on you as His.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

A grade measures one performance on one morning, and nothing in it reaches the part of you that matters. Under pressure that distinction collapses, and a letter starts to feel like a ruling on your worth. Failing an exam is bad news about the exam. It is not news about whether you are loved or worth keeping.

Let yourself be disappointed for an evening without letting it turn into a description of who you are. Then find out what went wrong, since that is fixable and your worth was never the variable. Ask for help earlier this time, and say the failure out loud rather than carrying it alone.
