Being angry isn’t the sin. Letting it drive for three days is the problem.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Anger is a signal, and signals are not the problem. Something got crossed, and the heat tells you that you noticed. The damage comes afterwards, when it stops informing you and starts steering: three days of rehearsing, a sharp tone with people who had nothing to do with it, a decision made while still hot.
Let yourself be angry and put a limit on how long it drives. Name what actually got crossed, which is usually one sentence rather than a whole case. Then either say it to the person or set it down, and do not let it quietly redecorate the rest of your week.
How long do you let anger steer before you stop it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
