A Bible verse in your bio is easy. Grace in your comments section is harder.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Stating what you believe takes a second. Living it shows up in the places where you are annoyed, unobserved and slightly anonymous, which describes a comments section exactly. The distance between a profile and a reply is where most people’s character actually sits. Nobody is persuaded by the first when it is contradicted by the second.
Read back the last few things you posted or replied to as though a stranger were judging you by them. Decide what you want that record to look like, then leave the argument you would normally win. Kindness in a place with no penalty for cruelty is rare, and people notice it.
How do you sound in arguments online compared to your profile?
