God doesn’t only show up after the doctor comes out. He sits in the waiting room with you.

Waiting rooms feel like the part before anything real happens. God is already in the room, in the bad coffee and the silence and the hours nobody would choose. Nothing is waiting for the news in order to begin.

If you are in one of those rooms, let the waiting be a place rather than a gap. Eat something, let people sit with you, say the honest thing out loud instead of holding it in. And if someone you know is waiting, go and be there for the boring part rather than only for the announcement.
