Somebody made that sandwich at 6 a.m. while you were asleep. The cut edges were a love letter.

Love often arrives in a form that does not look like love. Someone was awake before you, doing something dull and repetitive, and the only trace of it is the way the bread was cut. Affection expressed through logistics is easy to miss because it never says anything about itself.
Look for the practical thing someone did for you today and name it back to them. Be specific about the detail, since the detail is where the care sits. And if the person who used to do those things is not around any more, let yourself notice how much of it there was.
Who made or packed something for you before you were awake?
