Some friendships have an expiration date nobody printed on the box. Enjoy them fully while they’re fresh.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Not every good friendship is meant to last a lifetime, and that is usually only visible afterwards. Shared circumstances hold people together, and when they change the friendship often changes too, without anybody doing anything wrong. Knowing that in advance is not a reason to hold back. It is a reason to be fully in it while it is happening.
Stop measuring your current friendships by whether they will still exist in ten years. Give this one your actual attention now: the long conversation, the plan you keep making and cancelling. If one has already faded, let it have been good rather than filing it as a failure.
Which friendship are you in now that may not last?
